DIANE LUIZ
Diane is a local artist living in Sebastopol California with her husband.
Diane has studied and taken numerous workshops for over 10 years with many watercolor artists.
She is a member of Watercolor Artists of Sonoma County, Art Workshop of Western Sonoma County and Artist's Round Table of Sonoma County.
Diane studied art in high school and college including oil painting and pottery classes. She was introduced in 1999 to watercolor painting, discovering the freshness and loose qualities of this medium. This challenging medium creates exciting and surprising results.
Diane enjoys painting local scenes and as a painter her works show the subtle effects of painting nature and redefining our environment.
Diane was certified as a Terry Madden watercolor teacher in February 2005. She is teaching Terry’s technique (as seen on PBS television) of watercolor painting in a fun, easy style at her Sebastopol studio. She has recently started to teach people who are confined to home.
She also paints frequently with a group of painters and friends. They have traveled together in many locations in California, Florida and Hawaii.
